I hope you’re all doing fantastic. Today, I’m writing to share a decision that comes with mixed emotions – a temporary break from BIGO Live. Over the past four years, we’ve built an incredible community and shared unforgettable moments. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and the joy we’ve experienced together.
As with any journey, there are twists and turns, and after thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to step back from BIGO Live. This decision is influenced by various factors, and I believe transparency is key.
One significant aspect is the recent adjustments to rebates for official events on the platform. These changes have led me to reconsider the dynamics of our interaction, with a focus on ensuring that the content I share continues to be authentic and valuable.
It’s important to note that navigating profitability within this format has become challenging for me. Despite delivering great content, the current structure makes it difficult to find sustainable returns from trades. Additionally, the community, while appreciative, has a limited number of gifters, making it challenging to justify the considerable time invested.
Another aspect to ponder is the evolving landscape of BIGO Live. There’s been a noticeable dip in regular viewership, prompting this break to delve into new content directions that better align with our community.
It’s worth highlighting that BIGO’s decision to make everyone an official host without content reviews has significantly altered the app’s dynamics. The influx of numerous broadcasters has diluted the platform, and unfortunately, it has led to a surge in negative and inappropriate broadcasts, reaching an all-time high. This shift in quality has been a factor in my decision to reassess my involvement.
While I’ll be taking a break from BIGO Live, it’s not a permanent farewell. You can stay updated with my latest adventures and insights on Cody80.com. I’m excited to announce the return of the podcast, along with more financial market content and reviews about my experiences in Portland. I’ve also started sharing my journal entries on the site for a more candid look into my life.
