Amateur Radio Operator

I am officially a licensed amateur radio operator, registered with the FCC.  On Saturday I made the trip down to Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin to test for my Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator’s license. The entire test took about 20 minutes and consisted of 30 multiple choice questions related to the field of radio and electrical principles and theories, including UHF and VHF applications. Passing the test grants me privileges of broadcasting on bands above 30 MHz, which include the 2 meter bands and the 70 cm bands.

Do you have your ham radio ticket? I would love to hear from you!
