I never thought in my entire life that I would actually enjoy working in the garden. Does that mean I’m old now? I definitely feel older. I’m slower, things hurt that didn’t before, and I’m a little bit less tolerant of the world around me. Call it grumpy.
It’s true, though I actually do enjoy spending time in the garden. Probably my shining star of my crops is my lettuce which I love. I’ve got some tomato plants that are starting too. I don’t really like tomatoes all that much, but it is cool to watch them takeoff. I planted them way too close to each other because I had so many of them and not enough room so I kind of piled them up on top of each other. I’m not sure they’ll all last too long.
The lettuce has been doing so well, so much so I went and got more and put in the portable containers at the back of the property. I think I have something like 7 total lettuce plants now. It’s a good thing I love my salads.
